The affordances that this approach created was that it was very visually comprehendible. The image itself was very self-explanatory and showed in contrast the differences between the alive and dead coral. The constraints were that more information could not be presented. Too much information would take away from the simplicity of the format, whereas the simplicity also limits the amount of information available. It acts as a good starting base for introducing the topic, but does not elaborate.
